Welcome to Reflections

Each year more and more people are seeking the help of a professional therapist. One of the reasons for this may simply be because whilst friends and family can offer a willing and sympathetic ear, there are occasions in our lives when we feel that those who we are closest too, are not the right people to listen to our worries.

Reflections delivers both face to face and remote counselling (via video link or telephone), for individuals, couples or groups from the age of seven and above. Offering confidential support within a safe environment, in a caring, non-judgemental way, affords the opportunity for an individual to explore any difficulties they are experiencing, whether on a personal level or within a relationship.  The therapeutic relationship is based upon honesty, acceptance, empathy and respect. We will not tell you what to do but can help facilitate your own journey of self discovery, offer an alternative perspective, or signpost you to additional support services and support you whilst you make your own informed choices.

THE THERAPY HOUR

Session times can be flexible

The ‘therapy hour’ lasts 50-60 minutes. Longer appointments are available on request or in particular, when working with trauma.  Sessions for younger children are tailored to what they can cope with and parents can request a shorter session of 30-45 minutes.

Please note – Reflections does not provide an out-of-hours Crisis Response service. If you have urgent well-being concerns or are in crisis please contact your GP, GP out-of-hours service, NHS 111 or The Samaritans on 116 123 (UK & ROI) in the first instance.
